Having been raised Roman Catholic, I feel I have a firm belief and understanding of who Jesus Christ is and what he means to this world. However, without going into the doctrine and philosophy of the Church, I wanted to simply express my admiration for the man in this piece.

Having said that however, no one knows what he really looks like, other than the people who were living during his time. Some of the greatest artists throughout time have rendered images of what they thought he may look like, but in actuality, no one knows for sure.

And so, with that in mind, I set out to express my gratitude toward this man in this drawing. As you can see only his clothing is visible, but if you look closely you can see where his head, arms, hands and feet are symbolized in the drawing.

Pay practically attention to his feet. I tried to draw the garment’s movement has if he were stepping toward the observer. I really love this piece, and I hope you will like it too.
