Welcome To

TasStudios!

Thank you very much for visiting my virtual art studio. I hope your stay has been pleasant. I have done my utmost to make your experience on this website as enjoyable as possible. I have designed and built numerous websites over the past 25 years. I am an artist, a published author and a programmer. I have been an artist my entire life. I have been drawing and painting for the past 50 years. I have painted numerous wall murals and many canvas paintings. I've included a few snapshots of a few of my murals on this page. I can't remember how many drawings or paintings I have done for my family and friends. My heart melts each time I see a friend's face light up the moment they see what I've created for them.

Up to this point in my life, all of my art pieces were either commissioned by my work organizations or they were gifts to my love ones and close friends. I can recall as early as five years old drawing and painting. By the fourth grade I was amazing my teachers with my art skills. At the age of 18 I was commissioned to paint several murals in a dayroom for my squadron while in the Air Force. Although my career may have moved away from art, my skills as an artist continued to please my coworkers, my family and my friends with paintings and drawings. I hold a Master of Science degree in Information Science, and I enjoy the challenge of system design and the delight of complete a project. I believe my graphic designs for the numerous websites I have developed over the past 25 years have benefited from my artistic talents.

But as a designer, I know the success of the systems and applications I’ve designed and built were because I kept the users involved in their development. So whether critical or complimentary, please don't hesitate to let me know what you think or how you feel about this website and the services I am offering. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and necessary. Without your input, it is not possible for me to improve my services to you or to better my website. So please, don't be shy.

From this website, you can purchase limited edition prints of my artwork. I will offer two categories of prints: Limited Edition and Special Limited Edition. Limited Edition prints will have a maximum of 250 prints, and the Special Limited Edition will have a maximum of 100 prints. I will try to keep the print size close to the original drawing as possible. I will also personally number each print. And I will also include a signed Certificate of Authenticity with all my prints. Once the maximum number of a print has been reached for a particular piece, I will removed it from this website.

As for the prints themselves, I will use only the highest quality paper available, and to produce the archival prints I will use one of the best printers in its class--the Epson SuperColor P900. This Epson printer uses 10 individual colors of “pigment” ink. These inks are not liquid, but more of a powder, similar to laser printer toner. Pigment inks aren't like regular inkjet inks, Pigment inks rest on the surface of the paper, whereas regular inkjet printer ink is a “dye” and is absorbed into the paper. Please visit my Print Process page where I talk more about this amazing printer and its inks. From its first print, I was truly astounded by this printer and I believe you will be too.

Thank you again for visiting my website. Lastly, I would like to say even though I may be new to selling my artwork, I am not new to art. I believe the quality of my artwork speaks for itself. I hope you will enjoy my artwork and you will like it enough to purchase a piece or two. Take care and may your life be filled with joy and happiness.

Best regards,
Carmen
